Podcast of Oa Episode 41 - The Wrath of the Seafoam Lantern!

Co-hosts Bill Giancoli and Myron Rumsey are back with another episode of the Podcast of Oa and this one is guaranteed to be a little different than the rest. In episode 41 we talk about the sweet sixteen issues of Green Lantern, Green Lantern Corps and Green Lantern: New Guardians and we touch briefly on the first issue of Keith Giffen’s new Threshold series that features a Larfleeze backup story.

Green Lantern: The Animated Series takes center stage with conversation about Sinestro’s debut in the animated universe and the series defining moment in “Loss”. This episode was recorded on the day that the Cartoon Network revealed their plans not to renew the show and you can witness Myron’s completely uncensored feelings about the situation as he unleashes the wrath of the Seafoam Lantern - donning a Red Lantern ring in what is assuredly not a “safe for work” venting where nothing is safe from his rage!

"Tomar-Re is dead?" Classic.

Right there. At that point, this just became my new favorite podcast.

About the cancellation of The Animated Series, I feel your pain guys!

I know this sucks to say now but, we've so many things to be grateful for as Green Lantern fans! Just the fact that we got a movie (despite all its flaws) and a TV show too... not many fans can say their passions got so much love!

I say this and can't but wonder how cool it would have been to a season full of Sinestro Corps War! Build-up and all.

cheers fellas!

I'm still confused as to why another network/channel/ Disney won't scoop this show up? Makes no sense Warner Bros won't find another venue. This has so much going for it. The stories are amazing.

Hell... break the mold and market whole seasons "direct" to DVD. This is hard to let go. Quality is far and few between.

Myron, I agree 100% with your rant. You said the things many DC Animated Universe fans have been feeling for years. Cartoon Network started screwing with the DC back with Justice League. Thanks for voicing the anger everyone is feeling. It almost feels like a return to the rage level of HEAT.

I for one have been a huge fan of Green Lantern Animated Series and followed with earnest the adventures Hal and Kilowog had in frontier space. I thoroughly enjoyed the character development of Razer and Aya, their tragic love story and the fact that we would never know what will become of them when the series ends. It is a real shame that this series is being cancelled when there was so much incredible talent - from the scripts to the directors, the voice actors, right down to the animation - the whole saga was just perfect. This one fan is only too grateful to have had the opportunity at least to see a whole new world out there through the eyes of Hal, Kilowog, Razer and Aya. This has been one of the best ever animated series of all time.
