More Star Trek alums join Justice League Action (Exclusive)

This past January I mentioned that both Atrocitus and Zilius Zox would be utilized in the upcoming Justice League Action animated series set to debut on Cartoon Network this fall.  My reliable source provided my with some other information that I’ve been sitting on for some time, but with the recent news that Star Trek star Brent Spiner is voicing the Riddler I thought the time was right to mention the names of the two other Star Trek alumni that are voicing the two infamous Red Lanterns.

Star Trek: The Next Generation actor Michael Dorn, who played the fan favorite Worf, will lend his recognizable baritone to Atroictus, the leader of the Red Lantern Corps.   Dorn has done quite a bit of voice acting in recent years and provided the voice of Kalibak on the original Justice League animated series as well as the voice of Bane on Batman: The Brave and the Bold.  Atrocitus was previously voiced by Jonathan Adams on Green Lantern: The Animated Series and Bruce Thomas in Green Lantern: Emerald Knights.

Armin Shimerman is probably best known for his portrayal of Quark on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine although Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans will recognize him as Principal Snyder.  Shimerman take over the Zilius Zox role from voice over veteran Tom Kenny, who voiced the spherical Red Lantern on Green Lantern: The Animated Series.  He is also no stranger to voice acting or the DC universe as he provided the voices for a number of characters on Batman: The Brave and the Bold including the Calculator and Psycho-Pirate.

Justice League Action includes a voice cast featuring Kevin Conroy as Batman and Mark Hamill as Joker.  Josh Keaton returns as Hal Jordan in the series which will feature a rotating cast of characters showcased in eleven minute episodes.  Recent images spotted at a Malaysian animation conference also confirm characters such as Hawkman, Lobo, Harley Quinn, Dr. Fate, Shazam and many others will appear.
