Animated Series Episode 13 Review - "Homecoming"

For weeks now Green Lantern: The Animated Series has built to a crescendo and this week fans got to experience what we all hoped for - a finale filled with epic moments that illustrate what we love most about the Green Lantern mythology.  Like all the episodes before it, not a moment was wasted on screen during the thirteenth episode, "Homecoming", and in fact there was more to the story than the creators could fit in according a tweet by the episode's director, Sam Liu, who said that there were some great moments that had to be eliminated prior to the episode reaching the animation stage.  It's hard to imagine this episode being much better because the finished product is near perfect.

Animated Series Episode 5 "Heir Apparent" Review

A few episodes into the animated series and with every one I end up saying to myself that this is the best of the series only to have that trumped the following Saturday.  It's a wonderful problem to have and this week's installment, "Heir Apparent', continues the trend.  With a script by Jennifer Keene that pulls from the rich history found in the Green Lantern comics the audience is treated to the origin of a fan favorite character and more great character moments that continues to define the traits of our main cast.

On Betrassus, a world where feudal society meets futuristic technology, the crew of the Interceptor arrives with hopes to recruit the Green Lantern of the sector, Dulock [sp], and when he goes missing before taking the hand of Queen Iolande it's up to Hal to prevent a Betrassian warrior from getting the crown while he and the crew solve the mystery of the missing Green Lantern.

Eight More Alien GL Images to Mull Over

Pietro Filipponi published eight more images of possible designs for some of the alien Green Lanterns appearing in next summer's movie.  Again, I caution you that these are not the final images, nor are they high resolution images.  They appear more to be photos, and sometimes blurry ones, of concept art or early two dimensional renders of the characters taken by someone in the art department who Pietro knows.  I don't question their validity and it seems that within 24 hours of posting on his site he's taken them down at the request of Warner Brothers, which adds a degree of credibility to say the least.

As before, click on the read more button to see the images.
