It’s a little hard to believe that it’s been five years since the Green Lantern movie appeared on cinema screens around the world, and despite the mixed reception the film received from critics and the public the movie remains a major part of Green Lantern history.  Thanks to an upcoming auction fans will have the chance to purchase items used in the film and own unique pieces from the 2011 film.

I was recently contacted by a representative from Invaluable, an online auctions house, who let me know about the pending auction of a large lot of Hollywood movie memorabilia.  In his words:

“This auction, Hollywood Auction 83, starts at 11:00 AM PST on June 29, 30, and July 1 and will feature almost 1,700 noteworthy lots. The three day auction has items from a range of movies including Star Wars, Star Trek, Spider-Man, Back to the Future II, Indiana Jones, Wizard of Oz, Green Lantern, and more. The auctions have a collectible item for any audience. The auction not only offers outfits and on-screen props, but there are also manuscripts as well.”

The Green Lantern items are part of the auction on July 1st and features things that pretty much any Green Lantern fan would want regardless of what your opinion of the movie is.  All the items, except for the storyboards, feature a certificate of authenticity from Warner Brothers Studios, and the storyboards are signed by storyboard artist Chris Buchinsky.

Items include:

  • 40+ storyboards used in the production of the film (starting bid – $400)
  • UCAV model from Ferris aircraft (starting bid – $1000)
  • Hal Jordan’s flight suit (starting bid – $2000)
  • Abin Sur’s corpse in cryogenic chamber (starting bid – $3000)
  • One of the Green Lantern power rings (starting bid – $6000)
  • Green Lantern power battery (starting bid – $6000)

Make sure to check out the images highlighted in the video above to see the items up for bid.  Sadly for me these are all out of my price range, however if anyone want to buy any of these I’ll gladly provide my shipping address!   Click here for a link to the Green Lantern related items and here for a link to all the great memorabilia that is a part of the overall auction.   Good luck to the bidders!
