It’s been almost three years since DC Comics topped the comics publishing charts, but they did so again in the month of July during the second month of their Rebirth initiative. DC led both the retail market share and the unit market share categories despite publishing a third less titles than second place Marvel Comics.
Of the eight DC Comics placing in the top 10 in sales the Robert Venditti and Ethan Van Sciver collaboration on Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps Rebirth #1 captured the number ten spot, selling 113,965. The first regular issue of the series took the number eleven position with 108,708 issues sold.
