DC Comics has released their comics solicitations for month of December, 2017 with an advanced listing for the fifth installment of their “Metal” event.  Robert Venditti is mining the Green Lantern mythology even deeper as he focuses on the Controllers, a faction Maltusans who went their separate ways when their fellow Maltusans decided to devote themselves to making amends for Krona’s mistake and becoming the Guardians of the Universe.  The Controllers instead created their own peacekeepers, the Darkstars, who were joined by several Green Lanterns including John Stewart for a time.  This month also marks the debut of Christopher Priest on the Justice League.  Priest was the writer of the first issue of Green Lantern: Emerald Dawn and wrote several other Green Lantern stories.
