DC Comics today fired veteran editor Eddie Berganza in the wake of claims of sexual harassment.  Berganza, whose twenty-five year career came to an abrupt halt, was serving as a group editor for a number of books in DC’s catalog, including both Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps and Green Lanterns.

For many people this comes as no surprise at all considering that claims and rumors have surrounded Berganza for many years, with DC apparently trying to address the behavior internally.  A recent Buzz Feed article brought the situation to the forefront late last week, capitalizing on the recent rash of reports and allegations which have made major headlines throughout the entertainment industry.  DC chose to react by immediately suspend Berganza until today when they released him from their employment.
