The preview for tomorrow’s Green Lanterns #50 provided an interesting bit of information as Dan Jurgens steps in to shepherd the Green Lantern franchise for the time being.  The preview indicates that Jurgens’ run starts chronologically after the conclusion of Robert Venditti’s run on Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps, which doesn’t get released until August 8th.

Green Lanterns is set to be full to the covers with characters given that the entire cast of the Hal Jordan book are moving over to this series, a stark change to the tight focus the book has had on Jessica Cruz and Simon Baz.  DC Comics has not made any announcement(s) yet on their long-range plans for the Green Lantern franchise, but everything still points to a run by Grant Morrison either in the form of an ongoing series or twelve issue maxi-series starring Hal Jordan.
