DC Comics made an announcement today which provides some details about the previously announced Tales of the Dark Multiverse: Blackest Night Prestige Format One-Shot book scheduled for release on November 13th, 2019. According to the announcement, the creative team behind the book will be writer Tim Seeley and artist Kyle Hotz.
Seeley is tackling Blackest Night by jumping past the main catastrophe itself and jumping twenty-three days past the the victory of Nekron and the Black Lanterns. Sinestro remains one of the last hopes of the universe, trapped between being both a White and Black Lantern – the Limbo Lantern. Sinestro looks to an unlikely band of allies in Mister Miracle, Dove and Lobo to help him save the day. Tales of the Dark Multiverse: Blackest Night will be 48 pages long and will sell for $5.99. In conjunction with the book’s release DC Comics will also re-release Blackest Night #1 for $1 on the same day. 2019 marks the tenth anniversary of Blackest Night and in celebration a group of comics podcasters, including the Podcast of Oa, provided some an extensive retrospective during JLMAY.
