While DC Comics hasn’t announced it yet, apparently they are planning at least a new Hardcover collection to mark the 80th anniversary of Green Lantern.  Appearing on Amazon is a new 400 page edition showing a release date of June 16th, 2020 with a sale price of $29.99.  What we don’t know is if this issue has different content than the 75th anniversary book, but it would be hard to publish two books with the most important stories of the franchise’s history without some overlap.  The new collected edition reportedly has 400 pages, 12 pages less than its predecessor.  For a list of stories in the 75th anniversary book, take a look at my review of the book back when it came out in 2015.

  1. I don’t think there will be much overlap between this and the 75 Years book. There wasn’t with the Batman, Superman and Flash books. The 75 Years books seemed to focus on ‘important’ issues even if they were parts of larger storylines where as the 80 Years books focus on just good standalone issues. For example the Flash 75 Years book featured the conclusion to the Rogue War story arc as a representation of Geoff Johns writing for Wally where as the Flash 80 Years book featured the much more accesable standalone Captain Cold issue Absolute Zero from the same era.
