McFarlane Toys Reveals First DC Multiverse Figures Including John Stewart

Today McFarlane Toys revealed their first wave of DC Comics related toys, including action figures and vehicles.  The new items will be able to be found at major retail outlets, including Walmart, Target, Amazon, GameStop, BestBuy, and Walgreens.  Among the first wave of products is a new John Stewart action figure based on the Justice League animated series.  According to the press release the new DC Multiverse collector line features incredibly detailed 7-inch figures designed with an impressive 22 points of articulation. Each figure comes with a collectable card that has character-specific art and biography, multiple accessories, and a display base. MSRP is $19.99 to $24.99 USD for each figure.

“McFarlane Toys has kept the DC Multiverse action figure line-up and images top-secret, but today I’m thrilled to show fans, collectors and big kids, like me, the incredible range of DC Super Hero and Super-Villain character designs that our team has created just for them to bring home. ” -Todd McFarlane, Creative Force and CEO of McFarlane Toys.

The John Stewart figure features accessories which include a Lantern Willpower Projection Blaster, headset, and visor.  The figures will be released starting this month, with some retailers taking pre-orders starting today.  One of those retailers, Entertainment Earth, has the John Stewart figure listed for $19.99.  Amazon currently has the figure available as well, but for nearly $50 from an external vendor.  I assume they will have an official Amazon listing soon, but as of the time of this writing Amazon has not published their own listing.

Here’s a look at the new John Stewart figure, hopefully the first of many new Green Lantern products we will see from McFarlane Toys.
