Spanish comics artist Carlos Pacheco has passed away at the age of 60. In September of 2022 he announced that he had been diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), commonly referred to as Lou Gehrig’s disease, which results in the progressive loss of motor neurons that control voluntary muscles. Pacheco’s notable career included a lot of work at both Marvel and DC. For Green Lantern fans, Carlos Pacheco shared art duties with Ethan Van Sciver during the relaunch of the Green Lantern series in 2005, helping to set the visual tone for the Geoff Johns run.
