ASIFA-Hollywood, The International Animated Film Society, announced the nominees today for the 2012 Annie Awards, considered by most to be the highest honor in the animation industry. Among the nominees the Bruce Timm produced Green Lantern animated series garnered a nomination for Music in an Animated Television/Broadcast Production.  The Green Lantern: The Animated Series episode being specifically recognized is “Into the Abyss”.   This is the second nomination for composer Frederik Wiedmann and the third overall nomination for the series.
